The
therapeutic polarised light of bio lamps has the
ability to ensure targeted penetration into deeper structures of
tissues (this
ability stems from its polarised arrangement) and this is why it does
not
merely have the effect of an ordinary source of surface heat.
The
light energy - progressively absorbed by the issue,
which is being penetrated by the light - is evoking photo-chemical
changes,
which are very significant from the therapeutic point of view.
According to
their effects on the organism, we can divide them into three main
categories:
- An
analgesic effect
perceived as suppression of pain takes
place thanks to the natural action of light energy reducing the
sensitivity of
nerve cells at the point of penetration of polarised light. If the pain
is more
intensive, endogenous opiates are, moreover, secreted and these
opiates, in
combination with the natural ability of polarised light to liquidate
the actual
pathological process, are the reason for the high effectiveness in
suppression
of pain.
- The
anti-inflammatory
effect takes place thanks to the
fact that polarised light activates natural factors, which participate
in
liquidation of inflammation. It is also very important that light
therapy
supports dilatation of vessels, accelerates metabolism and thus
intensifies the
response of the organism’s immunity
system itself.
- The bio-stimulating
effect of an increased supply of light
energy strongly supports and accelerates restoration and healthy
development of
cells and damaged tissues. This has a fundamental meaning for
preservation of
integrity of the organism.
Bio-stimulation
has effect at various levels of an
organism:
- at the
sub-cell level - it brings about
stereo-chemical changes in molecules; it accelerates the synthesis of
collagen
and proteins, the oxygen exchange and the activation of the reductive
oxidative
process (an anti-toxic effect);
- at cell level - it increases the
potential of
the electric field; it changes the potential of the cell membrane; it
improves
revival of tissue, etc.;
- at tissue level - it changes
the pH value of
intercellular fluid;
- at organ level - it
normalises their
functions;
- at organism
level - it brings about
comprehensive adaptive, neuroreflexive and neurohumoral responses,
which lead
to improvement and preservation of health, physical immunity and
well-being.
In
professional literature, one can also read about the topic of
bio-stimulation
that the effect of linearly polarised light triggers controlling
process at the
level of individual cells in tissues and supports the processes of this
kind,
which are already under way, and slows down pathological and
degenerative
processes in these cells. Physically modified light has an effect on
the
molecular structure of cell membranes and mitochondrial apparatus and
this
accelerates the metabolic processes without accumulation of waste
substances,
stimulates creation of the necessary cell physiological agents
(opioids,
prostaglandines, neurotransmitters, etc.) and, conversely, the creation
of
substances accompanying pathological conditions is reduced. It is also
possible
to observe an increase in the activity of macrophages necessary for
successful
healing of wounds just as stimulation of the activity of fibroblasts,
which are
the basis for the healing processes in skin grafts and scars. |
